From a very young age nature has always fascinated me. I was always outside investigating what nature had to offer. Since then I have been very lucky to have been able to visit a lot of different countries.

In 2005 I decided to buy a digital camera to capture ‘my nature’ moments. To become familiar with the technical aspects of digital photography I attended evening classes at ‘Fotogram’ in Amsterdam.

From 2006 to 2013 I was a member of the Nature Photographers’ Club in the Netherlands where we shared our experiences in the field and learned a lot by being very critical in a positive way.

Since 2008 my daily work always involved aspects of nature. Prior to moving to Australia in 2013 my occupation was Park Ranger and ever since I have worked as an Environmental Operator where I now have an Eco Friendly Gardening and Design Business.

I am a great admirer of the beautiful nature of Australia and I feel very privileged to live in the Brisbane area. I spend a good deal of my time in nature as a photographer. To share these moments with other people I exhibit my photographs regularly. I have allowed scientists to use my photographs for their work.

With my pictures I hope people will get enthusiastic about all the lovely things nature has to offer us and I hope it will inspire people to go out and explore nature themselves.
